Twenty One Pilots just released their second single, “Drum Show,” off their upcoming project BREACH. The duo also uploaded an official music video to their YouTube channel to accompany it, which viewers are in love with already.
“Drum Show” was announced this past Wednesday, August 13, across Twenty One Pilots’ social media pages; it caused an immediate uproar amongst the fan base. They brought this news to light with a 30-second teaser clip of the song’s introduction, ending with the release date “8.18” flashing on the screen. Some supporters had come to an agreement under the duo’s Instagram comments that this track resembles past Twenty One Pilots songs “Navigating” and “Next Semester“, which got them even more excited since these are some fan favorites.
This is notably the first time drummer Josh Dun has taken on part of the lead vocals, causing fandom-wide mayhem; he repeats the lines “I’ve been this way / I want to change.”
Now that the song has been put out into the world, it has already been received exceptionally by the Clique (the band’s official fan base). They are referring to it under the duo’s Instagram post as “magical” and “possibly the best Twenty One Pilots song.”
The fans are expressing their support and pride for Dun, as well as their excitement for the rest of BREACH on September 12. The album is available to be pre-saved here.
