Indie pop-rock band Stock Market Cinema has released a new catchy single titled “Worst Fears.”
The band was formed when lead singer Dawson Abel connected with drummer and producer, Justin VanDommelen. The two instantly bonded and released their debut single, “Wasting Time,” followed by three others: “Seeing Violet,” “Chai,” and “I Used to Be a Racecar Driver.” After a small break to pursue other life passions, they came back together with guitarist Luke Hein, and Christian Andrews filling in on the bass, forming the four-man band listeners know and love today.
Taking inspiration and emulating the prowess of famous bands such as Paramore, Bad Suns, and The Band CAMINO, “Worst Fears” explores “what it feels like to come out on top of an internal struggle.” Listeners can understand this feeling within the lyrics of this addicting pop song: “Had a thought, brushed it off / it’s a hard one / Your memory isn’t steady / it’s a shotgun / Can you remember then what happened here? / I swear it used to be so crystal clear / Find your footing, it’s important to be grounded.”
Stock Market Cinema is set to perform at the Underground Music Venue in Minneapolis, MN, on Oct. 4th, 2025, with Marina City and Callback. Find tickets here.
