Lee Cole warms fans’ hearts with new single “Mine”

Date:

South-African artist Lee Cole gifts fans with a heart-warming and soulful new single titled “Mine,” masterfully blending R&B, pop, and soul. A charming and addictive radio-friendly hit with romantic lyrics, it’s a track that strips love down to its most authentic and truest form of devotion between two lovers. It’s inspired and led by the uplifting guitar riff he stumbled upon whilst playing and producing.

This song follows on the heels of his recents successes: the award of Best Male English vocalist at the Afro-Indie Awards 2025, and the popularity of his singles “Blind” and “Ice=cream,” both of which have claimed spots on South African radio charts and gained millions of new listeners.

Cole elaborates on the song’s message and release:

“This song is about shooting your shot. it’s about being direct with someone you connect with, telling them: ‘if you give me a shot, i can be everything you want- because i feel like you could be everything i need.’ in a world where relationships are often weighed down by expectations and rules, sometimes love is just about being honest and clear.”

A song fully produced by Cole himself, this song captures the youthful energy of true affection and the reciprocation of said feelings. The release comes across as very intentional, down to the emotions delivered in the lyrics and the vocals themselves. According to Lee, “The world right now could use more love, more open communication. “Mine” isn’t chasing trends — it’s just a feel-good, vibey song about connection.”
