‘HELP(2)’ brings the industry together when it matters

Date:

War Child Records have announced HELP(2), a new multi-artist charity album supporting War Child UK. HELP(2) will be released on Friday, March 6.

The project takes inspiration from the original 1995 HELP album, raising funds for War Child’s work providing emergency aid, education, mental health support, and protection for children affected by conflict worldwide. HELP was recorded in a single day in 1995 and raised over £1.2 million for children affected by the Bosnian conflict.

The release of the new album is positioned as a response to how urgent the humanitarian situation has become globally.

The record features an extensive line-up, including Arctic Monkeys, Olivia Rodrigo, Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C., Damon Albarn, Pulp, Depeche Mode, beabadoobee, Big Thief, Sampha, Foals, The Last Dinner Party, Ezra Collective, Arlo Parks, King Krule, Black Country, New Road, Young Fathers, and more.

The tracklist also includes Arctic Monkeys’ first new recording since 2022, “Opening Night,” with the band sharing:

“We are proud to support the invaluable work War Child do and hope the record will make a positive difference to the lives of children affected by war.”

In a similar spirit to the original HELP album, HELP(2) was recorded predominantly across one week at Abbey Road Studios in November 2025, with producer James Ford overseeing sessions that often came together last-minute, capturing the feeling of a project being built there and then. Ford added,

“I’m extremely proud of the results and of the efforts made by all involved. I can’t wait for people to hear this very special record.”

Jonathan Glazer, Creative Director for HELP(2), developed the “By Children, For Children” concept, which involved handing cameras to children invited into the studio to film the artists recording.

War Child UK’s Head of Music Rich Clarke described HELP(2) as “more than an album,” adding that it shows what can happen when the music industry comes together around a shared purpose.
