Going “AWOL” with West of Eden’s newest R&B single

Date:

Arising out of Seattle, Washington, the dedicated group of artists known as WEST OF EDEN has released their newest single “AWOL” (ft. hevel). WEST OF EDEN is a team comprised of 18 creatives total, but when it comes to the epic music released by the band the responsibility falls to artists jun.e, slone, riensu, and keanu, who also each have respective solo careers alongside the band.

The success of this group deserves massive praise as they reach bigger achievements. They’ve sold out multiple headline shows on their own, toured with artists such as Yung Kai, Rocco, SHAUN, demxnita, and sunkis, and even signed to a massive label earlier this year: 88rising. 88rising is an American label known for its promotions of Asian and Asian-American artists like Jackson Wang, Atarashii Gakko!, and Warren Hue.

“AWOL” highlights the talents of keanu and jun.e, alongside featured artist hevel, in a chilled R&B groove, layering harmonies and vocal textures for a feel-good atmosphere. It’s a song you can most definitely find yourself listening to during a late-night car ride, the lyrics explore the kissing-and-making up phase of a relationship: “Baby, I’ll show you what you lost / can we make up like kumbaya / You know I’ll love you through your flaws / kiss and make up right through it all.”

Much more is to be expected from this talented collective of artists and creatives.
