Young independent artist, songwriter, and producer Ella Collier intertwines the worlds of raw vulnerability and fearless power in her newest single “SLEEPWALKING.”
This song emerges as the 8th track from her 12-track magnum opus album, SLEEPWALKING, released Dec. 12. Blending together a multitude of different musical genres ranging pop and trap to acoustic and hyperpop, Ella’s art has reached the masses through hit TV shows and other media such as Love Island, NBA2K, and X Games.
In a cinematic universe where heartbreak meets heat, Ella had this to say about her creative process with “SLEEPWALKING”:
“‘SLEEPWALKING’ is the emotional purgatory you feel in the aftermath of someone’s absence, with the determination that you will meet again, even if it’s just in your dreams….This painful realization causes a spiral that we can only get out of once we let the person go, but in this song, I refuse to let that be an option. I originally wrote this song from the initial loneliness we feel after the end of a significant relationship, but have come to find that this can also apply to the grief of losing a loved one to death or to a life without you in it.'”
In addition to this spectacular album release, a music video for “SLEEPWALKING” is expected to be released on Dec. 19. Much more is to come from this talented young artist.
