Dasha reminds us that we are never truly lost, we are just waiting to be rediscovered on “Oh, Anna!”

Date:

Dasha continues to carve out her place in country music with the release of her heartfelt new single, “Oh, Anna!” The up and comer blends her unique storytelling abilities with modern country flair to reflect on her journey of reconnecting with the little girl she used to be. The nostalgic single allows the San Luis Obispo native to rediscover the innocence and strength that may have been forgotten along the way.

“I just always knew as a little girl that I wanted to be an artist. I wanted to write my songs, and tour the world, and meet people and have music connect people because it’s just the most beautiful thing in the world. In the craziness, I kind of lost myself a little bit. I lost the confidence of who I was and it was so scary because it’s the one thing I’ve always really known about myself. So I wrote this song for the little kid in me. For little Anna who always knew what she wanted.”

“Oh, Anna!” is a personal letter to her younger self. Born Anna Dasha Novotny, she once went by that name during a time when her dreams were clear and her confidence was unshakable. As the industry took a toll, she found herself disconnected from the fearless little girl she used to be. This song became her way of getting that little girl back—reconnecting with the version of herself who knew exactly who she was and what she wanted. Dasha reminds us all that confidence is never truly lost, it’s just waiting to be rediscovered: “I was staring in the mirror in the dirty bathroom light / And I found you there in my eyes / And it hit me, you’d be dancing instead of crying / Getting everybody on their feet / ‘Cause girl, you got your dream.”
