Dasha has dropped a brand new single, “Like It Like That,” following the success of recent tracks “Not at This Party” and “Oh, Anna!.”
“Like It Like That” hits you right in the face from the jump with a punchy guitar riff, clapping and a kick drum before hearing Dasha’s seductive vocals. There’s a bit of a pop sparkle with a dash of country twang, but it’s really her knack for spinning a story that draws listeners in. The track explores a messy and toxic romance—the kind you can’t let go of despite all the warning signs. She has a bit of an “I can fix him” mentality as she sings “When I push away, you pull me back in / You’re a mess, but I cleaned it / Said I ain’t never doing this again / But I left the door unlocked.”
Dasha has us all ready to lose ourselves on the dance floor, but when you actually listen to the lyrics, they sting a little. Makes you wanna hear what else she’s got up her sleeve for her sophomore country album. Check out the music video below featuring Love Island star Rob Rausch.
