Mondaze gives a sneak peek into their upcoming album with “Linger”

Date:

Mondaze has released a new single off their upcoming second album called “Linger” via Bronson Records. The band has been creating music since 2018 and has worked with a handful of different labels. But what makes this time different is that Mondaze has added multiple genres into each composition. The classic heavy rock, almost grunge, song has a dark allure to it. It holds very complex melodies that help create the atmosphere for the listener.

From the moment the song starts, it’s explosive and intense. The vocals are deep and complimented by a thunderous drum melody. The higher pitch in the electric guitar that allows the sounds to wave is intricate and a nice contrast to the drums. The guitar melody slows down the song from the initial fast-paced start. It’s like an emotional rollercoaster; you start off head-banging and then the wind-down allows you to just sway, and then it picks up again to a head bang.

The vocals within the song are deep with a lot of bass that borders a roar. They are also distorted, earning the song a spot amongst the shoegaze genre. The enunciation purposefully blends into the rest of the instrumentals, adding to the ambiance.

It’s reminiscent of the earlier 2000s songs amongst its scene that are iconic and wildly loved. Overall, it’s a heavy rock/shoegaze song that is traditional enough to be a favorite with listeners of the genre.
