Matt Maeson is back, and he’s louder, braver, and more vulnerable than ever. The Virginia-born, Nashville-based multi-platinum artist has just dropped his powerful new single “Halfway to Whole,” a gut-punch of honesty that wrestles with hopelessness, insecurity, and the dark corners of self-doubt. “This song did a lot for me,” Maeson shares.
“As always, I hope it can do as much for the listener.”
The track sets the stage for Maeson’s highly anticipated third studio album, A Quiet and Harmless Living, arriving September 12, 2025, via Atlantic Records. Written in the quiet hours between midnight and dawn, the album captures a season of seismic change — marriage, fatherhood, and the tug-of-war between family and career. It’s Maeson at his most raw and most real, deconstructing himself in order to rebuild with clarity and purpose. “This record is about figuring out who I am now,” he says. “It’s the sound of growth, balance, and being brutally truthful.”

Then, in early 2026, Maeson brings his heart-wrenching catalog overseas for 15 dates across the UK and Europe, including stops in London, Paris, Berlin, Dublin, and Amsterdam. Fans can expect anthems old and new, reimagined live with the unflinching emotion that has made Maeson one of the most compelling voices in modern alternative music. With “Halfway to Whole” setting the tone, A Quiet and Harmless Living promises to be Maeson’s most personal and transformative record yet; an unfiltered portrait of an artist stepping into a new season of life. For fans, this album and tour mark not just a return, but an evolution.
