Magnetic Skies believe that we can be brought “Back to Life” on new single

Date:

Earlier this year, Magnetic Skies started a new chapter with “A Place on Earth.” It was expansive, alluring, and a beautiful follow-up to the band’s debut album, Empire Falling, which came out in 2023. Lyrically, the single focused on the search for that one place you can call your own, somewhere that allows you to feel free. The more the world progresses, the more these opportunities to seek solace are threatened, which makes it tough to find that place. It can also be tough to find something to believe in, but the synth-pop band has hope.

On “Back to Life,” Magnetic Skies trust that we have what it takes to stay grounded. They understand that we live in a fast-paced society, where true connection and understanding are overlooked. Still, we can rise above, which is told in the lyrics. Here, vocalist Simon Kent sings, “Losing all control / Empty out the soul / In the calm before the storm / Where’s the hero?” He is convinced that these heroes can “bring it back to life,” no matter who they are or where they are. All the while, the dreamy synth work and flashy beats give it a vibrant edge. So, as you contemplate the messages of the single, you can work out, you can dance, and you can feel motivated to take action.

About “Back to Life,” Simon mentions,

“‘Back to Life’ explores the tension between our deep, universal connection and the fragmentation we face in the modern world. It’s about sensing that chaos, feeling the void, the noise, and still holding on to the hope that we can come back from the edge. It’s a call to reconnect, to bring something broken back into wholeness.”
