California based indie rockers Magenta Moon have just released the enigmatic “Move Me”, an open invitation to let go and let loose.

“Move Me” has its own unique vibe: starting off slow and easy, then erupting onto an eclectic combination of sounds that allows the duo to artfully craft an extravagant atmosphere. The vibrant violin intertwines with the ever-changing drum beat and electric guitar riffs, creating a soundscape that invites the listener to let go and dance away. Its genre-bending quality makes it both refreshing and unpredictable, as it incorporates many diverse elements into one cohesive, seductive track.

The song focuses on the longing for movement, letting inhibitions behind and giving into the simplicity of dance; the temptation to follow suit is impossible to resist. The band elaborates on the meaning behind the song: “It’s inspired by the Carlos Santana quote, ‘if you don’t give yourself chills, no one else is going to get them either’, ‘Move Me’ takes the stance that it is the job of entertainers to get people moving”. Catchy and easy to dance to, “Move Me” succeeds in its main purpose: to get the listener up and shaking.
