Lyncs Embraces Their Wild Side in New Single “Dancing On The Freeway”

Date:

You ever lay in bed at night, thinking of all the things you could say or do to get back at that one ex? You watch the thoughts descend into near madness until your deeply programmed filters come to save the day and you a trip to the clink? In “Dancing On The Freeway“, Lyncs overrides those filters and lets the chaos flow.

The production of this song grabs me. It’s nothing short of totally pro. The intro is comprised of a single vocal and a couple of modulated guitars in either ear. There’s a certain airiness in Lyncs‘ vocals that’s intoxicating. The drums join in and are uber punchy. As we are walked through the wild thoughts and hypotheticals going through Lyncs‘ head, the song picks up in intensity with more elements.

Everything drops. We hear an alarm-clock-esque set of beeps and we’re off to the races, jumping into a jamming, ambient, and sticky chorus where we are let into the motive to the madness. Promises of forever were made, and Lyncs intends to keep them.

Dancing on the Freeway” is a boppy and replayable release of those thoughts we keep locked in our minds. Let Lyncs play the scenarios out for you; don’t hide in the backseat of your ex’s car.
