After a terrifying collapse on stage at All Things Go Festival in New York, Lola Young announced on Tuesday, September 30, that she would be taking an indefinite break from music. This choice was not made hastily, and comes just weeks after the release of her latest LP, I’m Only F**king Myself.
Young shared the following statement to her Instagram story:
“I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know. Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund. I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger.”
We commend Young for putting herself first and wish her nothing but the best on her journey of self-care. We can’t wait to welcome her back when the time is right.
