Nostalgic synth-pop fans, rejoice. Midnight High‘s marks their fourth single with the release of “Forever,” an anthem for the summers we love and moments we discover love in.

The song holds a sentiment of universal youth that is stripped of its ties to any particular generation or identity. Midnight High creates nostalgia for moments past and not yet made. Mixing a vibrant beat with melodies that could soundtrack an 80s film, “Forever” beckons you to montage your own movie moments. As you listen to the song, you can’t help but create yellowing reel of memories with your friends before your mind’s eye. Transporting listeners to the euphoric world, the song is filled with shimmering synths that immortalize the feeling of youth – camcorder present or not. The effect is compounded when the chorus hits: “All I need is you / Forever in the golden years / Nothing can interfere”. Midnight High beckons us to lean into the modern sonic landscape and create something as timeless as the song itself.

“Forever,” along with the rest of their upcoming full-length album, Swimming Lessons, was mixed by Andy D. Park and mastered by Ed Brooks and is set for an August 2023 release.
