Lexie Takes the World By Storm on “Plane Jane”

Date:

Lexie is a powerful voice taking the world by storm with her groundbreaking soul-pop meets country swagger. She lends her unique experience of traveling the world and playing shows in different cities to the colorfully cultured music she writes. Her new release “Plane Jane” is about building a home within yourself when the world around you is constantly in flux. It takes an introspective look at her identity as an artist and uses that strong understanding of self to drive the story forward.

Brazen riffs of electric guitar collide with sultry bass lines, earthy harmonies, and lush bodies of percussion. She sings, “My home is where my heart is, babe / That’s why I love to get away.” Lexie takes us along with her on an adventure of self-discovery. Even in the most unexpected places, there’s always room to connect deeper with yourself.

Revealing more on her track, Lexie confides, “Home is feeling, not a place, if you are always on the move. It got to the point where I was just living out of a suitcase and had to find peace where I was at, that’s what inspired me to write the song. It’s a collection of moments, memories and feelings during my travels, combined to make the perfect cocktail of pop, soul & storytelling.”

Lexie has taken her wanderlust to new heights, playing festivals among the likes of Primavera Sound (Barcelona and Madrid), Fuji Rock (Japan), and Melt Festival (Germany). She was born in the UK and is currently based in Dubai where she regularly plays on some of the city’s greatest stages. “Plane Jane” is the latest from Lexie, rounding out your summer vacation with an imaginative dose of adventure.
