Tasmanian devil Kim Dracula shared on social media that a new music announcement was soon to come, fulfilling their promise of new music in 2025.
The Australian singer revealed that more information would be posted on their Discord server (available to join via social media link). There, they shared a cryptic riddle of information: “One night a year, shadows outnumber the living. That is when you’ll finally get a taste of the new album.”
While the announcement did not explicitly reveal if fans can expect new material (or information about a new album), server members were quick to guess that a new song would arrive on the evening of Halloween or the winter solstice.
Kim Dracula is known for breaking the restraints of genre, blending elements of trap metal, avant-garde jazz, alternative rock, electronica, and more, to keep listeners on their toes. Their upcoming release is sure to be another refreshing blend of Kim Dracula’s signature experimental sound.
Dracula’s debut album, A Gradual Decline in Morale, was released in July 2023, including viral singles “Make Me Famous,” “Drown,” and “Seventy Thorns.”
Although Dracula has not released solo work since their first album, they were recently featured on heavy metal band In This Moment’s latest track “Heretic,” following their support of the Los Angeles band’s The Godmode Tour in 2024.
They recently completed the Hell of a Summer Tour supporting American heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills, alongside other popular and up-and-coming names in the scene, Dayseeker, The Funeral Portrait, and MEST.
Kim Dracula will make their second appearance at Vans Warped Tour 2025 in Orlando, Florida, on November 15-16. The musician made their Warped debut at the iconic alternative music festival in July in Long Beach, California. Fans can find more information and join the waitlist for Orlando here.
The artist will embark on their first headlining tour of their homeland in the Horror Down Under Australia Tour 2025, beginning Friday, November 21, at the Princess Theatre in Brisbane, concluding on Saturday, November 29, at Magnet House in Perth.
