Kian Blume laments on toxic love with latest single “Parasite”

Date:

Kian Blume is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter who has been making music since age 15, drawing inspiration from his vast archive of written poetry. You can hear these rhythmic roots in the ear-catching lyric overlays that Blume composes – they will linger on the mind long after your first listen. His latest single “Parasite” is a venomous, gothic-twinged tune about a toxic relationship that Blume just keeps coming back to.

A thunderclap of percussion meets dark and dangerous electronics all captained by Kian Blume’s intense vocal that ups the ante as the song progresses. He muses, “I have been bit by the deadliest kiss – it’s pain and it’s bliss, I couldn’t resist.” There is a lyrical loop that Blume’s words fall into – so that each line chases the trail of his last thought. This effect will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Translating his love of poetry into a wildly imaginative pop landscape, Kian Blume is hitting a sweet spot of songwriting and sonics. Crafting narratives around visceral, true experiences, Kian Blume crafts an intimately entangled experience for all his listeners.
