Multi-platinum global popstar Kesha has released ATTENTION! (SMASH FEATURES), two new versions of her hit single, “ATTENTION!” featuring Slayyyter and Rose Gray.
The new release is a creation born from an exclusive feature competition, which heralded the launch of SMASH – a global community and marketplace that provides a space for musicians to create and connect independent of agencies and labels. The competition had over 500 submissions from more than 40 countries, with Kesha ultimately selecting her two favorites, one by Sizzy Rocket and the other by XAMIYA.
Of the experience, winner Sizzy Rocket, a singer-songwriter and Independent SMASH Creator, shares,
“I’ve learned from my own experience fighting for ownership of my music and being my own record label for the past 6 years that having a career as an independent female artist in the music industry is not for the faint of heart. Kesha’s message is a reminder that NO ONE gets to take away your voice or your right to live authentically wild and free.”
