JULITH releases “Right From Left” and announces debut EP, ‘This Is A Kindness’

Date:

Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter JULITH has created honest and empowering music that helps listeners feel and heal. She has always found power and beauty in songwriting, as it helped her connect with and reflect on the world around when she was younger. Whether she is releasing singles like “Pure Spite,” volunteering with nonprofit organizations that deal with sexual assault and domestic violence, or advocating for mental health and substance abuse support, JULITH is making a difference. She is out here changing a fan’s world for the better, and in doing so, she is also changing her world for the better.

Fans might be familiar with Julia Pratt, the moniker JULITH used to perform under. But after some self-exploration, she has decided to start fresh. She gives us a new name, a new single, and a new EP This Is A Kindness. Out April 10, This Is A Kindness captures the strength, rage, and healing process that JULITH usually shows in her music. It will also feature a genre-defiant sound, and this sound can be heard on “Right From Left.”

The latest single to be released from This Is A Kindness, “Right From Left” is an eclectic fusion of sound and style. JULITH’s resonant vocals mix in with the pop, electronic, and dance elements of the track, making for a single that does well to surprise and entertain. Each facet of the song builds different, unconventional textures that you can almost touch. All the while, JULITH delivers lines like, “Tell me not to go / You don’t even know” and “I don’t wanna hear about the consequence / I think I made it pretty far with just some common sense,” confronting whatever or whoever is holding her back.

Elaborating on “Right From Left,” JULITH shares,

“It often feels like everyone has something to say about everything. People like to drop their unsolicited advice without having the context or expertise. This song calls out that dynamic and advocates for doing whatever feels right to ME, regardless of the judgments of others.”

JULITH’s debut EP, This Is A Kindness, will be released on April 10. You can pre-save it here.
