Jimmy Eat World announces ‘Something (s) Loud EP’ out on vinyl Nov. 14

Date:

As a band who grew up listening to their favorite music on physical media, Jimmy Eat World is giving their fans a tangible way to experience their recent era of music with Something (s) Loud EP, officially available for vinyl pre-order. The project was originally only released digitally, but the band only considers their music “released” once it’s available in some sort of physical media.

The EP features “Failure,” “Something Loud,” “Place Your Debts,” and “Call to Love,” a song originally written by Eric Bachman’s project, Crooked Fingers.

Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World on how they narrowed down which tracks belong on the EP:

“By 2021, it felt like distancing restrictions were finally easing and we could get back on the road. Our Surviving album had barely been released before we were performing live again and reconnecting with fans. Coming out of the pandemic, it didn’t feel right to tour without offering something more, so we took the chance to share a few more tracks we’d been working on. At the time, it seemed like listeners were gravitating toward playlists rather than full albums, so we decided to meet them where they were.”

Something (s) Loud EP Tracklist:
1. Something Loud
2. Failure
3. Place Your Debts
4. Something Loud (Acoustic Version)
5. Call to Love (featuring Bethany Cosentino)
6. Place Your Debts (TW Walsh Remix)
