HYBE and Geffen Records are launching a new four-piece global girl group following the success of KATSEYE, featuring three former contestants of The Debut: Dream Academy.
Emily Kelavos, Samara Siqueira, and Lexie Levin are confirmed members of the unnamed group. The search for the fourth member will be held in Japan and documented in the forthcoming elimination series WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE, which will air exclusively on the Japanese streaming service ABEMA in early 2026.
Kelavos, Siqueira and Levin were revealed as members of the new girl group on social media last week, followed by the release of an intro film.
Kelavos, a 19-year-old Texas native, made it to the Dream Academy finale. Siqueira, a 19-year-old hailing from Brazil, placed seventh behind the six members of KATSEYE. 21-year-old Levin of Sweden withdrew from the program.
HYBE and Geffen Records’ previous collaboration aimed to create the first ever global girl group, choosing 20 contestants from over 120,000 submissions to undergo a year of Korean-idol style training. Netflix’s Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE documents the entire process, from scouting to eliminations.
With their Billboard chart-topping BEAUTIFUL CHAOS EP, a sold-out fall tour, and a recently viral advertisement with the clothing brand Gap, KATSEYE is bigger than ever and shows no signs of slowing down.
