Birmingham-based metalcore band ERRA is back with their newest single “i. the many names of god.” The single is out now via UNFD.
“i. the many names of god” acts as the first part of the closing trilogy for their upcoming album silence outlives the earth. Other songs in the trilogy include “ii. in the gut of the wolf” and “iii. twilight in the reflection of dreams.” The album will be released on March 6. You can pre-save it here.
“i. the many names of god” is filled with explosive guitar riffs, hard-hitting breakdowns, and synth melodies, making it a true metalcore song. The band shares more about the new single:
“‘i. the many names of god’ is the first in what we consider the trilogy of silence outlives the earth. The trilogy represents a distinct shift in tone from the previous songs on the record. We wanted the aesthetic of the tracklisting to persuade the feeling of that shift. The record transitions to a darker place at this point, and many names serves to take the heaviest moods expressed in the preceding tracks and visceralize them.”
To celebrate the release of silence outlives the earth, ERRA will be heading out on a co-headling North American tour this spring with Currents. Tickets are available here.
