He also writes for other artists, but when he penned his latest single “PEACH,” CON THE ARTIST knew he wanted to release this one himself.
A cheeky anthem, “PEACH” has all the makings of a flirty summer jam. Its bright rhythms mesh well with the pop melodies and funky bass lines, so listeners will feel completely immersed in style and sound. When we get to the choruses, vibrant horns guide lyrics like, “I wanna bite your peach / Feel your juices dripping down on me,” which spice up the flavor of this track. It leans into the weird and the fun, and celebrates the pleasure of attraction.
Telling us more about this juicy single, CON THE ARTIST explains,
“On the surface, ‘PEACH’ is about biting ass. Peel back the layers and—surprise—it’s still about biting ass. I originally wrote this for someone else, but they thought it was a little too silly for their vibe. I couldn’t get the melody out of my head though, so I decided to keep it. Because it wasn’t meant for me, I approached it with zero pressure—I let it be weird, playful, and fun. And in doing that, I stumbled into something that really shifted how I create. The less seriously I take myself, the more I love the music I make.”
