Clairo signs to Atlantic Records following Grammy-nominated, ‘Charm’

Date:

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Clairo has found a new label home, signing with Atlantic Records after the independent success of her latest album Charm. The move marks a new chapter in the 26-year-old’s career, one that has already seen her evolve from bedroom-pop breakout to one of alternative music’s most distinctive voices.

“I’m so thrilled to begin this next chapter of my musical journey with Atlantic,” Clairo shared. “From our first meeting, they immediately understood my vision, and it feels good to know I can continue to be as expressive and free with my ideas with a great new partner by my side.”

Elliot Grainge, chairman and CEO of Atlantic Music Group, echoed the sentiment, calling Clairo “one of the most important songwriters of her era” and praising her ability to “reshape the music landscape simply by being true to herself.”

Clairo first emerged with her 2018 EP Diary 001 via Fader Label, followed by her acclaimed debut Immunity in 2019. Her sophomore record, Sling (2021), released through Fader, Polydor, and Republic, debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 and briefly topped the Top Alternative Albums chart. In 2024, she took full creative control, self-releasing Charm through her own Clairo Records. The album not only peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 but also earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.

To date, Clairo’s catalog has amassed 3 million album units sold and 3.76 billion U.S. streams, according to Luminate. Her chart presence is equally formidable with all three of her albums landing in the top five of Billboard’s Top Rock and Top Alternative Albums rankings, with Sling and Charm both securing No. 1 positions in their respective tallies.

Atlantic’s signing of Clairo marks the next phase of an artist who has steadily built her career on authenticity and evolution. With her track record of critical acclaim and commercial resonance, Clairo’s partnership with Atlantic positions her to push even further into the mainstream.

Clairo is set to headline All Things Go in Washington D.C. on September 28 and then NYC on September 29. She will also appear at 2026’s Camp Flag Naw.
