Country singer-songwriter Charley Crockett will release Dollar A Day, the second album in The Sagebrush Trilogy, on Aug. 8. The first single, “Crucified Son,” comes out this Thursday.
This follows the release of Lonesome Drifter on March 14, the first album in this saga and the GRAMMY Award nominee’s debut on Island Records. Both projects released in The Sagebrush Trilogy thus far are co-produced by Shooter Jennings, who has collaborated with artists such as Brandi Carlile, Marilyn Manson and Jessi Colter.
“With Shooter, I’ve never felt more like myself in the studio,” Crockett said in an interview with Billboard.
“I don’t feel judged. At all. It’s truly a partnership. Hell, I’d say he’s my best friend, and you can’t aspire to greatness without that kind of trust. With Lonesome Drifter, it felt like we opened the portal. With Dollar a Day, we stepped through and came out the other side.”
Crockett is slated to perform across North America this year, including select solo dates and a co-headlining The Crooner & The Cowboy tour with Leon Bridges. Tickets are available here.
