Cavetown announces 2026 Running With Scissors Tour and releases new single “Tarmac”

Date:

Cavetown is set to release his new album Running With Scissors on Jan. 16, which will be followed by the headlining tour. Tickets for the tour, which will take place across Europe and the UK, are currently on sale here.

The announcement of the tour followed the release of his newest single “Tarmac” which helps to show the bold era that he is approaching. He delivers raw confessions in a place where love comes across as complicated.

When asked about the song, he shared,

“This song is the earliest to exist from the album. It’s one which lyrically just fell out when Orla and I wrote it together. We had to kind of figure out the meaning after letting the words choose themselves. We found it feeling relevant to the feeling of overwhelm and the experience of intrusive thoughts, which can come hand-in-hand for me. I hope people find something in ‘Tarmac’ which resonates with their own experiences.”

The upcoming album confronts growth, identity and one becoming their own person. He explores themes of masculinity, vulnerability and connection with his raw vocals and hard-hitting lyrics while also turning to heavy realities such as anxiety, self-doubt, and life as a trans artist. The album is available now for pre-order along with vinyls and signed CDs, which you can find here.

Cavetown recently spent time on the road in Europe alongside Pierce The Veil. At the London stop, he was joined on stage by Vic Fuentes to perform their collaboration, “a kind thing to do.”
