Briston Maroney announces Paradise Festival alongside new single “Paradise”

Date:

After opening for artists like Jack White and Rainbow Kitten Surprise this summer, Nashville-based songwriter Briston Maroney has returned with new music and a huge announcement of his own festival at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl. Paradise Festival will go down over two nights in November at Brooklyn Bowl (11/3 + 11/4) with Maroney at the top of a remarkably curated lineup. Sunflower Bean and The Greeting Committee will join Maroney on night one, and Melodic favorite Indigo de Souza will team up with Maroney’s Canvasback labelmates MICHELLE on night two. Cece Coakley and Annie DiRusso are also in the fold for the weekend, and Maroney has teamed up with local charities and organizations in the Nashville area to benefit from the festival. Tickets go on sale on Friday here, and we expect it to sell out incredibly quickly.

Alongside the announcement of the festival comes Maroney’s “Paradise” with a music video directed by longtime collaborator Joey Broadnax. “Paradise” is a pulsing, remarkable piece of indie-rock that’s perfectly in line with his discography — in some moments, it reminds me of early Killers and The Strokes, but it’s a lot warmer and evocative than anything else from that era. It feels like summertime, and you can get a slice of “Paradise” below:
