Brandy and Monica announce The Boy Is Mine Tour

Date:

R&B superstars Brandy and Monica announced their co-headlining U.S. tour over 27 years after the release of their GRAMMY award-winning duet “The Boy Is Mine” with support from Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, Jamal Roberts. The tour, appropriately named The Boy Is Mine Tour, will run from Oct. 16 to Dec. 7, with stops in Chicago, Memphis, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Houston and more.

This really is a full-circle moment. Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music—it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come,” Brandy said in a tour statement. They will be accompanied by GRAMMY award-winning musicians Kelly Rowland and Muni Long, along with rising American Idol star Jamal Roberts

A tour mini-movie was also shared, where Brandy and Monica break out of separate rooms in an asylum through the power of hearing their collaborative track.

Since it’s release in 1998, “The Boy is Mine” spent 13 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and continues to be celebrated in modern pop culture. The duo made an appearance in Ariana Grande’s “the boy is mine” music video and were featured in the track’s remix last year.

“The love that ‘The Boy Is Mine’ continues to receive means everything to me. This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us,” Monica said in a tour statement.
