Bermuda Search Party grieves a breakup in high-energy single “BETTER LoVE”

Date:

Boston-based band Bermuda Search Party has released their new single, “BETTER LoVE.” The energetic indie pop-rock track marks their first release since dropping their sophomore album Fools On Parade back in April.

In “BETTER LoVE,” the band delivers an energetic track reminiscent of The Killers, driven by bright guitars and synths. In the chorus, lead singer Leo Son longs for a romantic partner following a breakup, singing, “If you find a better love / I hope that you are better off / If you find a better love / Then he better love you.”

About the inspiration behind the song, the band says:

“It is not your typical breakup song. It’s about the last stage of grieving a relationship: acceptance. Accepting the love and energy that went into a connection, and keeping that love and honoring the person rather than letting it rot into resentment. To wish ill on someone that you shared love with is only doing a disservice to yourself.”

In the music video, Son wakes up and gets ready to go to work while wearing a life vest over a suit. On his way, though, he decides to go to the beach instead, having to hitchhike and borrow a stranger’s bike in order to join his bandmates on the sand.

Known for their high-energy live performances, Bermuda Search Party is hitting the road in October as the opening act for The Click Five. Find tickets to the concerts here.
