Bailey Zimmerman and Diplo navigate uncertainty in new song “Ashes”

Date:

Bailey Zimmerman is known as one of country music’s brightest stars. He first started his musical career in 2020 when he began posting original music on social media and took the country music world by storm. For his new release “Ashes,” Zimmerman teamed up with famous DJ Diplo to create a song focused on relationships with little commitment.

“Ashes” is about an unreliable partnership. Through steady piano and twangy guitar, Bailey Zimmerman and Diplo share a story of two partners who are not fully ready to give their all to each other. Lyrics such as “The only thing I don’t know is / How the hell we ain’t ashes? / You burn me / I burn you” show how these partners only seek to benefit themselves, yet they cannot seem to break up.
