Earlier this year, Ariana Grande swept the charts with eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead, reaching No.1 on the Billboard 200. The GRAMMY® Award-winning superstar has dedicated the last few years to her dream role as Glinda in the film adaption of Wicked. Fans have patiently awaited her return to the stage, and today she posted a video to her Instagram teasing an upcoming tour with the words “See you next year.”
Grande hasn’t toured since the Sweetener World Tour, which kicked off in March of 2019 and concluded in December that same year. Over the past year, many fans have speculated that the singer was giving up music to focus on acting, but Grande addressed the rumors, stating:
“Very silly of you all to assume that just because I have my hands full with many things that I plan to abandon singing & music…!!!It is and has always been my lifeline. There will need to be room made for all of it.🧚🏻 It may not look exactly like it did before but I much prefer how it looks in my head. I am having fun. I feel grateful and excited and inspired. 🙂 finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors I love, and doing it my own way…so I’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year. Even if it’s just for a little.”
