Ariana Grande topped the charts with her 2020 album Positions and has given the fans a 6-song live EP to celebrate the 5-year anniversary of the beloved album.
Vevo has announced the re-release of Ariana Grande’s Positions (Vevo Official Live Performances) to honor the album’s fifth birthday. The six tracks include the live Vevo performances Grande did in 2021 of the songs “pov,” “positions,” “safety net” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, “my hair,” “34+35” and “off the table” featuring The Weeknd. These official live and exclusive performances from Vevo are the result of a close collaboration with artists and their team.
Vevo has a long history with Grande, as some of her previous performances with them date all the way back to 2013. 9 years ago, she was a part of “Vevo Presents,” for which she performed multiple songs, including two of her top streamed songs, “Dangerous Woman” and “Side to Side.” Grande was one of Vevo’s Top 10 Worldwide Most Watched Artists of 2020 and broke records on the Vevo 24 Hour View Count 2018 with her performance of “thank u, next,” which exceeded 50 million views.
JP Evangelista, an executive at Vevo, spoke out about getting to work with Ariana Grande for the 5-year milestone:
“This was such a stand out collaboration and project for us, that we are thrilled to be working with the team on a re-release as part of the Positions 5-year anniversary … With her power-house vocals and pure emotion these performances stand the test of time, they feel like they could have been taped yesterday. The same goes for the whole ‘Positions’ album with an energy and style that delivers in every watch or listen. This EP is a testament to the staying power of Ariana’s music, artistic vision and impact on the industry as a whole. Happy five year anniversary to ‘Positions’ from all of us at Vevo.”
