Alexander Grandjean Slows It Down in “Sage”

Date:

Indie folk artist Alexander Grandjean released “Sage”, the latest track from his upcoming album, on July 5. The singer-songwriter from Denmark said he intends to release his album sometime around November 2024.

In “Sage”, Grandjean tells the story of a young man leaving society behind to become a sage. With his home in shambles, he decides he will temporarily leave so he can return wiser. While we cannot all leave our day-to-day lives to become sages, Grandjean constructs a poignant message regarding the importance of stepping away from chaos to better yourself.

The production features Grandjean’s voice alongside a variety of instruments including classical guitars, piano, synths, bass guitar, strings, and a brass ensemble. Each instrument intertwines with the others beautifully, resulting in a piece that will make you want to hit “play” again.

About “Sage”, Grandjean said:

“I think distractions and anxiety have gotten a little bit out of control. I’m here to slow things down and remind myself and everybody else that we need to find ways to live more harmoniously and in sync with nature.”

Listen to “Sage” below and keep an eye out for his album coming later this year.
