The alternative rock trio CHROMA has just announced their second album 25 Forever, set to release on April 17 via Alcopop! Records. The trio hails from Prontypidd, Wales, and consists of vocalist and guitarist KT Hall, bassist Liam Bevan, and drummer Zac Mather.

Hall shares more about the album:

“25 Forever is a collection of songs navigating themes of love, loss, heartbreak, friendships and resilience—it reflects on coming of age in a turbulent time for the world, looking inward, and finding yourself when things seem bleak.”

You can pre-order the album here.

To celebrate the announcement of their new album, CHROMA dropped their lead single “Straight Men” on all streaming platforms. The single is a critique of the online-created culture known as the “manosphere” and the lack of accountability that men have with each other about their behavior.

Hall goes in-depth about the meaning behind the song as she channels her negative experiences with adult men from her teen and adulthood years, including sexual harassment and intimidation. She shares further:

“I’m talking about the ‘manosphere’ and how young men today are being radicalised by influencers such as Andrew Tate. I’m talking about the crisis of violence against women and young girls in the UK and the world.”

Hall also tells us how the song came to be:

it all started as a bit of a laugh… I have a group of gay men outside a nightclub to thank for the hook ‘I’m really fucking scared of straight men’. It stuck with me for a while as I couldn’t quite shake it off. I think about the term ‘straight men’ and the feelings that arise, and how we really need to do better to achieve a shift in culture and change the universal experience that too many people face each day.”

After explaining the feelings and motive behind the track, Hall further shares that she’s “grateful to have some amazing men in [her] life who have kept [her] safe and are so supportive.” She specifically mentions her older brothers, her partner, and her bandmates and the team at Alcopop! Records.

Before the release of 25 Forever, CHROMA will be embarking on a UK-focused album release tour that will kick off April 16. The trio is also set to perform at FOCUS Wales 2026 in May.

Tickets will be available for the tour on January 23 here.
