Tennis brings Swimmer to Brooklyn

Date:

On Thursday night, Denver-based band Tennis brought their lively synth-pop sound to New York City’s Brooklyn Steel. The husband and wife duo released their latest album, Swimmer in 2020 and finally embarked on their US tour this fall.

Tennis graced the stage with an air of 70’s nostalgia for the excited concert-goers. They opened up their set with “I’ll Haunt You”, a crowd-favorite from Swimmer, before jumping into a 17-song set. Each crowd member was thoroughly mesmerized by the performance, singing along to every song and even shouting out requests during quiet moments between songs. Singer Alaina Moore kept expressing gratitude for the ability to be able to perform these songs live after not touring since 2019. For the encore, the band surprised the crowd with acoustic renditions of “Late Night” and “Bad Girls”, before thanking the adoring crowd once more and promising to come back soon.
