Taylor Acorn rocks The Parish on headline tour

Date:

Taylor Acorn and her passionate crowd packed The Parish at House of Blues Anaheim on Monday night. Despite mentioning she wasn’t feeling her best, joking that “she ate something earlier that didn’t quite agree with her,” Acorn powered through the night, delivering her hits and dancing alongside her excited fans from start to finish.

Taylor is an emerging singer-songwriter blending pop-punk, country, and alternative rock. Known for her relatable themes of heartbreak and resilience, she connects deeply with fans through her emotional lyrics and catchy melodies.

Acorn combines the rebellious spirit of Avril Lavigne with the emotional storytelling of Olivia Rodrigo. Like Avril, she delivers punk-pop anthems filled with empowerment, while her songwriting echoes Rodrigo’s authentic and intimate approach. This mix of punk energy and heartfelt pop makes Acorn a standout artist in her genre.

She kicked off the night with her high-energy track “Final Nail,” a recent release featuring fellow pop-punk girl, Charlotte Sands. The song immediately charged up the crowd, setting the tone for the rest of the show. As a personal favorite of mine, I couldn’t help but join the sea of bobbing heads, completely swept up in the excitement.

Taylor delivered a dynamic set blending fan-favorite older tracks like “I Think I’m In Love,” her Cassadee Pope collaboration “Coma,” “Wishing You Hell,” “Certified Depressant,” and “Psycho.” Alongside these hits, she showcased fresh material from her newly released album Survival in Motion, including songs like “Greener,” “Nervous System,” “People Watching,” “High Horse,” and more.

The pace slowed as Taylor delivered a stunning acoustic rendition of “Birds Still Sing.” As her heartfelt vocals filled the room, fans lit up the venue with their phone flashlights, gently swaying to the emotional ballad. It was a beautiful, reflective moment, with Taylor giving the song her all and deepening the connection between her and the crowd.

She wrapped up the night with a high-energy performance of her hit “Psycho,” and the atmosphere was intense. Fans screamed along to every word, especially during the fiery lyrics: “So, I’ll throw a little brick through your pretty little face // You’re easy on the eyes but you’re easier to hate // An angel’s gonna fall if you come around // If my name’s still on your tongue, then I’ll rip it out.” Taylor dominated the stage, headbanging and giving it everything she had, making for an unforgettable finale.

Experiencing this show confirms that Taylor Acorn is a rising star to watch. With her high-energy songs and captivating stage presence, she delivers an incredible live performance. Her vocals are just as impressive—if not better—than the studio recordings, making her a true standout in the scene. Taylor is still on the road for anyone who wants to see the show you can grab tickets here.
