LIVE PHOTOS: Wild Nothing // Birmingham, AL

Date:

On a breezy night in October, hazy dream-pop act Wild Nothing dropped by Saturn in Birmingham, AL in support of their latest album Indigo. Jack Tatum’s project has been a consistent presence in the indie-pop community with the successes of early albums Gemini and Nocturne, and their set showed off the full array of their strengths as they blazed through tracks spanning their entire discography. Front and center were Tatum’s reverb-drenched vocals along with his and guitarist Nathan Goodman’s synchronized melodies that echoed across the crowd. An especially memorable moment came during the Indigo single “Partners in Motion” when multi-instrumentalist Matt Kallman busted out a saxophone solo that caught everyone off guard.
