This past Monday night, Scottish indie-rock band Franz Ferdinand came through Asheville on their tour to promote their latest album, Always Ascending. I was pleasantly surprised at how much they were able to captivate the audience, rocking out during each song and keeping fans smiling and singing along to every word. They were accompanied by local band Jeff Santiago & Los Gatos, the frontman of which is manager of The Orange Peel, the iconic North Carolina venue where Franz Ferdinand played their upbeat show.
