Singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker has began his fifth headlining tour tonight at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, California. The Garden State Tour is in celebration of the recently released album, Garden State, the first solo album from the artist in almost four years.

Onstage were projections of the house that laces the 2025 album Garden State and changed in seasons depending on the song. Projections changed during some of Zucker’s earlier work to better suit the faster beat.

Zucker himself was accompanied by a full live band and switch between acoustic and electric guitar throughout the show. With the live band, many of Zucker’s electro pop songs sounded more rock-pop which only added to the energy to the room.

The merch stand was cashless and only accepted Apple Pay, credit or debit cards. It’s unclear whether or not this will apply to the entire tour or just The Observatory North Park. There were three t-shirt designs, each $40. Two white shirts with “Jeremy Zucker is for Lovers” printed on one and art from the latest Garden State album on the other. The third design was brown with tour dates on the back. Two tour hoodies were selling for $70 along with a $20 Tour Poster and $60 tour hat.

Out of a set list of 24 songs, there were only 7 songs from the Garden State album, with “Supercuts” and “Therapist” closing out the show. Most of the songs were from the 2020 album love is not dying, including the aforementioned “Julia,” along with “Lakehouse,” “Always, I’ll Care” and “Somebody Loves You.” Notably, there were two songs from Zucker’s brent project (in collaboration with Chelsea Cutler). Zucker performed “Brooklyn boy” and “scared” later in the show.

The Garden State Tour continues across America, before heading to Australia and Asia in November.
