All Time Low’s Everyone’s Talking stop at Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham on November 11th, 2025 was one of those nights that reminded everyone why pop-punk has remained such a force in the music scene, with everyone on the bill delivering the kind of show that pulls you right back into the excitement and chaos of being a teenager screaming lyrics with your best friends. The lineup was a dream for anyone who grew up in the pop punk and emo era: Four Year Strong, Mayday Parade, and All Time Low all sharing one stage on a crisp November night in the middle of an arctic blast.
Four Year Strong kicked things off and immediately set the tone for the night. Their brand of heavy, melodic pop punk hit like a punch to the chest as they ran across the stage and performed more like a metal band stage-presence wise. The dueling vocals, the chugging guitars, the breakdowns, it was all tight, loud and unapologetically fun which got the crowd going and warmed up the crowd, who were all bundled up before the chaos began. Four Year Strong had the crowd jumping early, and it was clear the quartet still has one of the best stage presences in the scene. They’ve always devlivered that perfect mix of intensity and positivity, and it got everyone loosened up fast.
Next to take the stage was Mayday Parade, and the energy shifted from headbanging to heart-on-sleeve singalongs as the emo icons took over. Derek Sanders still sounds just as raw and emotional as ever, and it’s amazing how easily the crowd connects with those songs, even after all these years. When they played “Jamie All Over,” the entire venue erupted, and you could see smiles and tears everywhere, people hugging their neighbors and swaying back and forth, filming, or just closing their eyes and belting it out like it was 2007 again. “Oh Well, Oh Well” was one of those goosebump moments, phones in the air, the entire place singing louder than the band. It was nostalgic in the best possible way.
And then, when the lights dimmed and All Time Low walked on, the energy hit another level. They opened with “Oh No!” and it felt like the entire crowd jumped in unison. Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat have this natural chemistry that makes every show feel like a party. They don’t just play songs, they create a house party on the stage. Between songs, Alex kept thanking the Birmingham crowd for sticking with them all these years and coming out on a Tuesday night when the weather was less than ideal. The setlist was a perfect mix of old favorites and newer tracks. “Six Feet Under the Stars” and “Lost in Stereo” brought that early-era spark, while songs like “Sleepwalking” showed how much they’ve grown musically. “Something’s Gotta Give” and “Backseat Serenade” turned into massive singalongs, and by the time they closed with “Dear Maria, Count Me In,” the crowd was ecstatic. Everyone was jumping, shouting every word, creating a magical pit on the cold lawn.
The open-air setup at Avondale added a magic touch, string lights overhead, frigid air from the arctic blast that had just rolled through the area, and the smell of beer and food trucks mixing with the sound of thousands of voices singing together. It felt intimate even with a huge crowd. You could feel the connection between the band and the audience, like everyone was sharing the same heartbeat and freezing body temperatures for a couple of hours. All Time Low didn’t just give Birmingham a show, it was a celebration of the music that shaped so many of us and why it is such a big deal that it is being celebrated again with events like When We Were Young and the return of Van’s Warped Tour. All Time Low proved once again that after all these years, they can still deliver a night that’s equal parts nostalgia, energy, and pure joy. If you were there, you probably lost your voice, maybe shed a tear or two, and left feeling a little lighter than when you came in. Nights like that remind you exactly why you fell in love with this kind of music in the first place and why we’re all excited it has stuck around.
