Arlo Parks Kicks Off The Collapsed In Sunbeams Tour In Laval, Quebec

Born in Hammersmith, West London, Arlo Parks was discovered by Ali Raymond of Beatnik Creative who eventually became her manager. She later released her first single “Cola” after which she signed a record deal with Transgressive Records. On January 29th, 2021, she released her debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams which was nominated at the Grammys in the Best Alternative Music Album category in 2022.

Arlo Parks kicked off her Collapsed In Sunbeams tour last night in Laval, Quebec opening for Florence + The Machine. Performing early on her set “Caroline” and “Bluish” after which she introduced herself in French, “It’s a pleasure to be opening for Florence + The Machine” she said. Arlo delivered beautiful vocals accompanied by a 4-piece band playing along to the jazzy tunes. Her growth as an artist in the past years has been impressive as she recently opened for Billie Eilish and Harry Styles in the UK and is collecting countless nominations for her work. The 22-year-old finished her set with her heartfelt song “Hope” singing the lines “You’re not alone/ Like you think you are/ We all scars/ I know it’s hard/ You’re not alone” followed up by her latest single “Softly” joined by the crowd waving their arms left to right to the rhythm of the song.
