senses break old patterns on new single “clean cut”

Date:

Los Angeles “emo-friendly, punk curious” band senses is back with infectious new single “clean cut.” Recently signing to Hopeless Records, the duo is eagerly stepping into a brand new era for the band that’s catapulting them to the forefront of the pop-punk scene.

“clean cut” is a deeply personal and uplifting track that’s been described as breaking old patterns and embracing what lies ahead in the future. As they get ready to enter this new era with full force, senses shared,

“We’re incredibly excited about this next set of songs. There can be so many times in life that bring you to a point where you just need a break, and this first song takes us right past that. It exemplifies the feeling of not just needing a break, but a clean cut from all the old patterns you feel stuck in. Life can be tough, and it’s those moments when you know change is coming and needed, and how you deal with it, that truly defines you. It’s being at the brink of that feeling and deciding to acknowledge it, push through, and really self-reflect.”

The song’s production has that classic, punchy, in-your-face pop-punk vibe that senses have established throughout their discography. It’s an explosively catchy tune that expresses a desire to acknowledge your scars and leave behind things that no longer serve you. “So pick some roses for my past / Say goodbye and don’t look back” is just one line from this introspective anthem that calls for change, growth, and perseverance amidst hardship in a chaotic world.

senses will be spending the next half of 2025 traveling the globe in support of some of the most iconic bands in the scene, including Australia with Yours Truly this summer, and the UK/EU with The Summer Set and North America with Marianas Trench this fall. Tickets and information regarding all of Senses’ upcoming tour dates can be found here.
