Harry Potter original motion picture soundtracks to be available on vinyl June 6th

Date:

Rhino has just announced that the first four Harry Potter original motion picture soundtracks will be available on 2LP black vinyl on June 6th. After announcing the 16-LP box set in 2024, Harry Potter: The Complete Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, Rhino will now be releasing four individual motion picture soundtrack LPs as well.

This new collection is set to include the original motion picture soundtrack albums for the first four films in the franchise, including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Each of these will be available as 2LPs each on black vinyl. Pre-order the vinyls here.

John Williams is a legendary five-time Academy Award-winning composer who also crafted the scores for the first three films in the series: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). Two of these soundtracks were awarded with a nomination in the category of Best Original Score at the Academy Awards. Regarding the fourth and final LP of the anticipated set, it was Academy Award-nominated Patrick Doyle who supplied the score for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005).

Bringing back the nostalgia of the Harry Potter soundtracks on vinyl brings a sense of timeless magic that defined an entire generation. From the unforgettable opening notes of “Hedwig’s Theme” to the darker, emotional tones of the later films, each score captures the evolving spirit of the Hogwarts world. These soundtracks are a must-have for anyone who grew up with the series or is discovering its magic for the first time.
