Grammy Award-winning rock band Halestorm has announced that their sixth studio album will arrive this summer. The band features siblings Lzzy and Arejay Hale, who initially formed the band, along with guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith. The album, Everest, announced today, is due out Aug. 8 through Atlantic Records.

Recently, the band released “Darkness Always Wins,” the first single off the upcoming album. The song, which is produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb (Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell), explores the band’s ride over the last couple decades.
Alongside the announcement, the band also announced the nEVEREST Duality tour, a North American tour this fall with Lindsey Stirling and supported by Apocalyptica.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, May 2.
About the upcoming album, Lzzy Hale said:
“Our album Everest is a story of our journey as a band, full of beautiful endings and new beginnings. We weave a tangled web of melancholy, frustration, anger and the vast purgatory of love and love lost. It is a rollercoaster of epic musical detours, great songwriting and completely unhinged twists and turns. Everest is an auditory representation of the 4 pillars of Halestorm. Let us reintroduce ourselves and invite you into our world…if you dare.”
