Laura Pieri moves on in new song “Flown Away”

Date:

Laura Pieri is known for making her songs come to life. Her style of ambitious, vibrant pop inspired by her Brazilian roots moves people both emotionally and on the dance floor. Her new song “Flown Away” focuses on personal growth.

“Flown Away” is about moving on to better things. Through deep bass and energetic vocals, Laura Pieri shares her story of letting go of the past. The lyrics detail her journey of leaving a toxic situation and the joy and relief she experienced once it was over.

Originally written for her EP Frankie, which was released in May 2024, Pieri says this track didn’t quite fit with the rest of the EP, but it didn’t feel right just keeping it to herself. She shares more about her new sound and her decision to release the track almost a year later:

I love a more traditional pop sound, but lately, I just want to move—to dance! Leaving this song tucked away never felt right. Now, nearly a year after ‘Frankie,’ it finally feels like the right time to share it… Frankie’s story wasn’t over, and ‘Flown Away’ felt like the perfect way to keep her spirit alive while pushing the sound forward.”
