UK rockers Mouth Culture release their first new music of 2025 with the single “Ratbag”

Date:

Fresh off the announcement of jumping on a big festival circuit, Leicester’s Mouth Culture have released an energetic new single, “Ratbag.” A combative track attacking toxic masculinity, Mouth Culture cuts through the bullshit and delivers a dynamic take through their far-spanning rock and roll.

The three-piece band show their love for UK rock, a heavy influence on their sound. “Ratbag” is produced by Max Helyer from You Me At Six along with the band’s longtime collaborator Jamie Ward. Mouth Culture bring something fresh and fitting to the genre, melding classic rock, indie rock, and a certain level of intense aggression to rile up crowds. A certain reminiscence or nostalgia about them makes it an apt fit for Mouth Culture to be included on this year’s return of the Vans Warped Tour circuit.

“Ratbag” is essentially a small victory lap, a new exciting single for current fans to scream along to, as well as devote a new audience that Mouth Culture is soon to reach. The explicit lyrics along with driving melodies and strained sung vocals make for an emotive, anthemic shout-along track. The band adds,

“Dripping in swagger, grit, and unapologetic attitude, this song is the soundtrack to male recklessness — an anthem for those left in its wake.”
