Psych-punk band Frankie and the Witch Fingers released their newest single “Total Reset” to precede their upcoming album, Trash Classic. The single was released along with a lyric video that perfectly matches the electric, funky vibe of the song. About the song, the band said:

“‘Total Reset’ is a spasmodic blast of punk and synth freakery, a tech product launch for the post-human era.”

Talking on the song, the band mentioned how writing songs can be a time taking task. With the help of AI, the lyrics of “Total Reset” was born. A nihilistic song with dark lyrics that mismatch with the Scooby-Doo, Looney Tunes-esque feel of the backing music.

“Writing and recording a song can be such a hassle, so we let AI handle it this time (faster, cheaper, zero complaints),” the band continues. “It spat out a nice little doomsday ditty: humanity is toast, a lucky few will be spared to reboot civilization. Weirdly enough, the song kind of rips, so maybe we don’t need humans to make things after all.”
