After releasing their highly anticipated single “Thatch” this month, the band Goose is making a name for themselves once again with their upcoming fourth studio album. Everything Must Go is set to arrive April 25 through No Coincidence Records.

Preorder Everything Must Go here.

The announcement comes three years after the release of their critically acclaimed record, Dripfield. The press release says that Everything Must Go is “as an arrival of sorts — a journey for fans and newcomers alike through the group’s past, present, and infinite future,” as they come off Dripfield.

The song, “Thatch,” is searching and propulsive, according to the band.

“There are always little ideas and melodies getting stowed away into voice memos on my phone. ‘Thatch’ started as one of those,” Mitarotonda said of the song’s inception. “It was sitting around as an idea like that for a while, then came together relatively quickly during a transitional period in late 2022.”

“We’re often surrounded in one way or another by voices that encourage us to fit in, and stay on beaten paths,” Mitarotonda added. “The song’s about believing in and staying committed to whatever strange and interesting ideas might be kicking around in us.”

”Thatch” comes from a slew of releases over the last several months, including the searching “Lead Up,” the breezy, atmospheric “Your Direction” and euphoric first single, “Give It Time.”

Today, Goose loses another member to allegations of creating an unsafe environment, according to a social post from the band.
