The success of Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour“ created overwhelming demand for more shows. In response, she will be performing in New York and Miami to please her fans. The newly announced shows will take place on Friday, May 16th at the MetLife Stadium and Saturday, June 7th at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Tickets go on sale beginning Monday, April 7th at 10am local time here.
The success of her tour comes from her massive seven-show run in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros. These shows were sold-out, prompting her to add nine additional Mexico dates. Special guests from Grupo Frontera also joined Shakira on the stage for 3 nights in Mexico. The Latin America leg of the tour was highly anticipated, specifically because of her show in her hometown of Barranquilla, her first performance there in 19 years.
Shakira has made history as the first artist in Colombian history to perform in five stadiums across the country. Additionally, for the first time in her career, she has earned the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Tour Ranking, becoming the first Latin female artist to claim that spot. The tour wraps up this week with final shows in Chile and Colombia before launching the North American leg in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 13.
